Adding a PianoDesk Workstation to the Shop

I had a great day in the shop today.  My son and I went to an old farmhouse this afternoon to get a free upright piano.  Once we arrived back at the shop, we promptly took the piano apart.  Here are some photos from the day.

After taking the piano apart, we reused the parts and made a leather workstation in my shop.  Check the video below for more.

Welcome to the new page for PianoDesk.com.  I am currently (as of July 25th) migrating content to this page.  To see examples of Desks made from pianos or Bass Guitars, click the menu options above.  You can also look at my old page for construction pictures of most projects.

While you wait for more content, here are some projects I have been working on lately:

This month, several projects are working their way out the door.  First, A bass guitar I built last summer.  This bass is made from Maple and Walnut.  I called this the coffee bass:

1 2 3 4 5

Another project that is making its way out of the shop is a Mason and Hamlin grand piano that my son and I have been refinishing.  Here are pics of the finished project:

Lastly, here is a small leather bag and satellite wallet for my wife–Live, Laugh and Love Mission Bag. I feel like this may be one of the best leather projects so far.
